Journal
Record sessions, complete one reflection per day, follow weekly reflection progress, and revisit earlier days.
Private · Manual · On device
Record individual social-media sessions, reflect on how they affected your day, review weekly or monthly patterns, and privately save useful creators. Scroll Journal works only from details you choose to enter—never from automatic monitoring.
Three focused tabs
Record sessions, complete one reflection per day, follow weekly reflection progress, and revisit earlier days.
Save informative or productive creators with an optional screenshot, profile link, and personal note.
Review weekly and monthly patterns calculated locally, and open Privacy & Support resources.
Built around what you enter
Record multiple sessions for today or an earlier date. Future dates are unavailable, and session duration can range from 1 to 1,440 minutes.
Type a platform name or use local suggestions. Common names are normalized, recently used platforms appear first, and no platform account or API is contacted.
Record why you opened a platform and select a five-point mood before and after. Scroll Journal classifies the result as improved, unchanged, or declined.
Add one to three built-in or custom tags. Reusable custom tags can be renamed or removed without changing their labels in historical sessions.
Write one 10–300 character reflection per day. Today remains editable, and yesterday remains open until noon the following day.
Browse daily totals, reflection previews, mood outcomes, reasons, and tag counts. Historical sessions remain editable and deletable.
A deliberate daily practice
Choose from reasons such as learning, work, news, entertainment, relaxation, fitness, boredom, habit, or no particular reason—or describe another reason.
Consider whether social media felt useful, distracting, intentional, or unnecessary. Sessions and reflections remain separate records.
Enable local reflection reminders for 10:00 PM, 10:00 AM the next day, and 11:30 AM before the noon deadline. Remind Me Later adds an eligible reminder about 30 minutes later.
Creator Library
A creator name or @handle is the only required field. You can optionally add a screenshot, profile link, and personal note, then search saved creators by available names and metadata.
The iOS Photos picker provides only the image you select. Scroll Journal resizes large images, converts them to locally stored JPEGs, and lets you replace or remove them.
Personal reflection tools
Switch between weekly and monthly periods to review sessions, duration, intentional reasons, mood changes, streaks, reflections, daily averages, frequently recorded platforms, reasons, tags, and weekdays.
Narrative observations require at least three completed sessions. Period comparisons require at least three sessions in both periods, and repeated evidence is required before Scroll Journal makes a platform-level negative observation.
Insights use deterministic calculations on your device. They are not produced by an AI model or sent to an external service.
A private record shaped only by what you choose to enter.
